Electronic pad durability and economics has been the driving force to provide our customers with a better electronic signature solution. As of November 2005, the Topaz SigLite is now be available to provide our customers with a USB interface for capturing signatures. The cost of the SigLite unit is about $125, versus our previous solution of $395, thus making it even more affordable. With the integration of thermal receipt printers and laser report printers, overall efficiencies can be increased dramatically over traditional account charge processes. Special Note: There are two different user interfaces for the Topaz unit seen at the right of this page. The $125 unit does not present a signature to the customer as they sign the tablet. The $262 backlit unit does present to the customer their signature. We have found that customers are more accepting of the new process if they can see their signature appear as the scribe within this new fangled device. The end result is the same with both units - an electronic signature - but the customer satisfaction is much higher with the backlit model. Electronic Capture further reduces the time required to maintain customer accounts after the sale has been completed. The daily and end-of-month time requirements of processing accounts receivable have been dramatically reduced.
