Software Sales Representative Position

JOB DESCRIPTION

Profile Systems Design Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Sales Representative to market and sell TransActPOS, a modular based point of sale system for installation in small to medium sized retail markets such as True Value, Do it Best Hardware stores, Gift Stores, Garden Centers, Lumber Centers, and Power Equipment/Service Centers throughout the United States.  

Our Product

TransActPOS is a modular based point of sale software system designed to streamline the management of inventory and customer accounts in retail operations. TransActPOS incorporates all of a retail store’s sales operation into a single interface and integrates with back office accounting software systems.

Job Role

Essential functions of the Software Sales Representative’s job include developing a clear understanding of the retail business environment of our current as well as prospective customers.  You will be expected to develop a working knowledge of our software, TransActPOS as well as hardware required to operate our point of sale system.

A significant amount of your time will be spent prospecting and developing leads.  You will be expected to make cold calls and develop prospective customer relationships.  You will also be required to schedule and complete software demonstrations, complete and present quotes, maintain an ongoing relationship with prospective customers in order to close sales.  You will be required to track sales activity utilizing an in-house CRM application.  You will be expected to work both independently and as a part of the Profile Systems Design Group, Inc. team.  You will be expected to travel and market TransActPOS, including attendance at assigned trade shows.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or;
  • A minimum of 4 years experience selling computer software and hardware solutions to small or medium sized business.
  • Trade show experience will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • A willingness to quickly learn TransActPOS and how it operates in a retail environment.  Training will be provided.
  • A competent understanding of computer networking and basic accounting concepts is required.
  • Work experience and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Compensation Information

  • Base salary plus commission.  Additional benefits information available upon application.
